Situated on a former railroad line, the route leads over almost two dozen bridges, including Germany's unique wagon bridge. These architectural testimonies illustrate the railroad history of the Bergisches Land over the last hundred years. At the same time, there are far-reaching views of Niederberge's characteristic hilly landscape. The route is also a central component of the Bergisch Panorama Radwege network and enables supra-regional connections.
