We have some special tips for you for the summer months. Have you ever thought about combining your bike ride with a yoga session?
Before, after, or during a bike ride, simply find some peace in the midst of nature, clear your mind, and recharge your energy.
You can try this out starting in June at various locations along the RuhrtalRadweg.
On this page, you’ll find information on the scheduled dates organized by venue. The offerings are continuously being added to and updated. Take a look to see if a date fits into your tour plans.
As a general rule: All sessions take place outdoors in the open air —if the weather forecast is poor, cancellations or postponements may occur on short notice.
Whether mats will be provided or if you’ll need to bring your own depends on the specific session. Please check the details in the description for each session.
Please always bring your owndrinks. A water bottle is, after all, part of the basic gear for any bike ride.
In addition, there are usually no changing facilities available—but clothing suitable for cycling is generally also suitable for yoga, Pilates, and similar activities. So please arrive already wearing appropriate attire.
Participation is always free —however, registration is required; you’ll find the relevant contact information in the description as well.
We look forward to seeing you and to an active summer on the RuhrtalRadweg!

Sunday, September 6, 2026, 1:00 p.m., and Saturday, September 19, 2026, 11:00 a.m., 75 minutes each / Yoga at Gutshof Wellenbad
Vinyasa Flow meets Yin Yoga—the final sessions of Yoga on the RuhrtalRadweg, once again at a different location!
On the lawn of the Montessori School at Gutshof Wellenbad, Anne Werner from “Yoga erleben” looks forward to welcoming you to two fantastic, final sessions of our series.
Anne is a certified yoga instructor from Iserlohn-Hennen and combines Vinyasa Flow with Yin Yoga in her classes.
In dynamic Vinyasa Yoga, flowing, powerful asanas (postures) are synchronized with the breath, bringing the mind into the “here and now” through focus on movement and breathing. The emphasis is on strengthening and mobilizing the entire body, especially the back. Exercises to improve balance are also included. The subsequent, gentle Yin Yoga segment focuses on stretching through calm, longer-held asanas, thereby releasing physical and mental tension—often caused by stress. The classes conclude with deep relaxation.
Please bring your own mat. There isspace to park your bikes within sight of the class—the location is a fenced-in area right on the RuhrtalRadweg.
Register via WhatsApp with Anne Werner at 0176 96513006, or by email to yogalehrerin.anne@gmail.com
Special feature: The students at the Montessori School will be opening their student café on both days. Why not combine your yoga break with a quick snack?
This initiative is being implemented as part of the "New Target Groups" funding project. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Transportation using funds allocated for the implementation of the National Bicycle Traffic Plan.
